Aims And Objectives of The St Ann Society of Gloucester
| 1. |
To promote friendship and understanding between
the communities of the city of Gloucester, England and the
parish of St Ann, Jamaica |
| 2. |
To strengthen by all possible means, commercial, educational
and cultural links between the two communities. |
| 3. |
To stimulate and foster mutual exchanges at all levels
between the peoples of the two communities |
| 4. |
To render aid and assistance in whatever form is considered
to be beneficial to the health, education and welfare of
either community |
| 5. |
To organise fund-raising activities to support the objectives
of the Society. |
Membership
of the St Ann Society
| 1. |
Membership shall be open to all persons or
organisations in sympathy with the aims and objectives of
the Society; such membership to be accepted or otherwise
decided by the Executive Committee. |
| 2. |
There shall be two categories of membership:
(i) Individual membership
(ii) Corporate membership |
| 3. |
Membership, whether individual or corporate is renewable
annually |
| 4. |
Corporate membership shall be open to all organisations
which are in agreement with the objectives of the Society.
The Gloucester City Council and GLOSLINKS shall be deemed
to have corporate membership of the Society. |

Committee Members of the St Ann Society
Mr Tony Ayland, former mayor of Gloucester became the first
Chair of the St Ann Society in June 1992. The first committee
members included individuals whose efforts led to the establishment
of the Society. Current officers and members of the Society
